  • 33. Bronze Vajrabhairava in Yab-yum form. 25 cms. high Tibet 17th/18th Century. This form has the buffalo head and three wrathful faces, four arms (front two articulated), four legs and the god is clasping his consort in a vigorous embrace

  • 54. Heavy cotton Buddhist Temple Banner, 6.510 x 1.065 metres. Nepal, Kirtipur, 19th Century. Ink and colours. Seven garlanded representations of the Swyambunath Stupa alternate with six standing figures of Padmapani, each of the stupas and the standing figures being on a lotus pedestal and in a separate panel. These panels are bordered on each side with a pillar made up of sacred letters arising from a vase. Within the domes of each of the stupas is a representation of Amitabha Buddha seated on a lotus. A frieze of alternating gold lions and saddled horses runs beneath all of these panels and the banner has a printed floriate frame.
